Riverdale is finally back! The hit CW show premiered it's second season last night and things were interesting. Obvious spoilers ahead so if you didn't see it last night, close this and go watch it!

We start off where last season ended, with Archie's dad, Fred, getting shot in Pop's Diner. Archie races him to the hospital, Jughead narrating of course, and walks him in. My first thought was "call 911!" but Archie said they did and an ambulance never came. Curious. Second, is their hospital stuck in the 1950's? The nurses were wearing skirts and the doctors had the weirdest uniform on. No one was in the hallway to greet them and the operating room was right inside the door and it had a window for Archie to look through? I know it's a TV show but that seemed very weird and out of place to me.

We then see Betty, Jughead, and Veronica get the call from Archie about his dad. They all rush to the hospital to be with him and Veronica's mother asks if he's called his mother. Archie says no. I'm sorry, your dad was just shot and you don't think to call your mother? I know they have a strained relationship but even when I am mad at my mother I still call her! Veronica and Archie then go back to his house so they can clean up.

This is where it gets weird to me. Archie insists on walking his dog and tells Veronica that he needs his dad. Then they get back and Archie gets in the shower. Guess what happens next...shower sex. Because all grieving teens love sex! After the shower Veronica and Archie get into a weird fight and Veronica says she won't leave him since that is what old her would do. I realize people grieve in different ways but I would think sex would be the last thing on a person's mind. The sex scene seemed like a way to get shirtless K.J. Apa in the episode.

The part that was most interesting and made the episode for me was seeing what his father what seeing as he was dying. You see him celebrating Graduation Day with the gang and realizing he isn't actually alive for it. Archie is telling him to let go but he is refusing. He is fighting so hard to get back to Archie because he needs to protect him.

We still don't really know who shot him but Jughead uses his Southside Serpent buddies to find out. He knows Archie is hiding something and after talking to Pops he realizes it must have been a hit of some kind. Veronica is worried that her parents had something to do with it since they wanted Fred out of the business - his business. Oh and Cheryl gave Fred the kiss of life so he is alive and shockingly back home.

The episode ends with Miss. Grundy teaching another student and kissing him goodbye. Really lady? The Archie scandal wasn't enough to turn you off of teenage boys? We won't have to worry about her though. A man in a mask strangles her. Is the man in the mask actually after Archie and not his dad? Tune in next time folks!

This episode seemed to go fast and played pretty loose with information. Fred is shot, Fred is brought back by Cheryl, Fred is home. Did this episode actually take place over a couple of weeks and we missed the time lapse or what is happening. Don't get me wrong, it still felt like a Riverdale episode and the first episode of any show is always weird so I am sure it will get better. I'm excited to see who shot Fred and to meet Betty's long lost brother. They are even bringing in Sabrina the Teenage Witch! How will she fit in? Guess we will just have to keep watching to find out.
