It’s been 11 years in the making; this is it – the endgame. Marvel has been leading up to the epic battle with Thanos and it’s all coming to an end. Fans of the Marvel franchise have been excited to see how this would turn out.

The Marvel franchise has spanned over 20 movies and making them all make sense has been a challenge but one that was well worth it. With Endgame the Russo brothers took all the characters we have grown to love and gave us what we all wanted.

If you didn’t see, Infinity War let’s recap. Thanos was first introduced in Thor and was the reason for Loki’s big plan in New York in the Avengers. Since then the heroes have been tracking down and keeping an eye on the infinity stones. But Thanos still manages to get his hands on the stones and with a snap of his finger, he eliminates half of all life in the universe.

Endgame deals with the fallout of this and what the remaining heroes plan to do to fix it. There isn’t much you can say about the plot without giving away too many spoilers. The heroes are all dealing with the snap in their own way, Tony is moving on, Steve wants to help people and Natasha can’t help but continue to look for Thanos.

Endgame is a great end cap to this phase of the Marvel franchise. While it will continue on with more movies, and more heroes, most fans have been waiting the 11 years to see how this will play out. While the ending might not be what people are expecting it’s still a good ending. Again, you can’t go into this movie too much without potential spoilers.

The movie, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, is beautiful. The space scenes are amazing and the special effects are pretty good too. There are times when a hero is zooming across the screen and it looks very CGI but in the moment you can forgive it.

Even though Endgame is three hours long, it really doesn’t feel like it. Just make sure you grab you drink and popcorn before the movie starts because you won’t want to miss a single moment. Oh and bring tissues…you’ll need them. Avengers: Endgame is now playing.
