When two men who don't like commitment start to fall in love they start to question everything about their relationship.

Billy Eichner plays Bobby, the "I make being alone my entire personality" main character in Bros. Bobby is a podcaster and creative director at the LGBTQ+ museum that is set to open in NYC. He is known for being very outspoken and openly gay.

Eichner plays Bobby like the way he is in real life, loud and little obnoxious. That's not bad but it would have been nice to see Eichner do something a little different. This is the first time he has played a lead in a movie. Eichner also co-wrote the script as well.

Luke Macfarlane, as Aaron, is the opposite of Bobby. Not very open with his sexuality and pretty quite. When Aaron and Bobby meet they immediately have chemistry but they are quick to say they don't want to date. Of course, they start to fall for each other.

While the script isn't anything spectacular, it is funny and pretty raunchy. It definitely deserves the R rating. There are moments where there isn't anything going on and it starts to stall a little bit but it picks right back up.

Bros is one of the first movies, in a very long time, to feature an all LGBTQ+ cast. There are some straight people, like Debra Messing as herself, that do not identify as such but a majority of the main actors are LGBTQ+. It's refreshing to see.

The story is very cliché and overdone but I think that's the point. We've seen this a million times in straight couple movies so it's about time we see it in a gay movie as well. There is nothing different about Bobby and Aaron's story but that's what makes this movie work.

Bros is a pretty good romantic comedy with lots of LGBTQ+ history as well. It's not perfect, but what romantic comedy is? My only gripe is that Bobby talks about his podcast getting 1 million followers and he gets recognized in a restaurant but we never see him podcast again. Did he just forget he has a podcast? I need answers!
